Superiority Breeds Contempt
Word for November 7th, 2020
Superiority breeds contempt. Being caught in feeling you have to be superior will then also cause you to feel inferior because it is a competition. It is a competition with one another. I did not call you to compete with one another. I did not call you to compare yourself to one another because you are unique. You are uniquely Mine and I have a unique purpose for you. You can indeed be inspired by others, taught by others, encouraged by others, to be who God has created you to be. When you speak to each other, speak like that - “I encourage you to be all God has created you to be,” because I have created you. There is a specific purpose in the world [for you]. So if you get caught in comparison, you are not following the path I have for you. That is all pride, arrogance, I have to be better than, and if I am not, then I am unworthy. Oh that is all the work of the devil. He wants you caught in all that way of thinking. I have called you to a better way. To look to Me and discover and walk in what I have called you to walk in - the gifts I have given you, the talents I have given you - to grow those, to encourage that in each other, then you are standing with each other. Then all the different parts of My Church will grow and become one body. Christ is the head. You are not the head. Christ is the head. Christ guides you. You are empowered by Christ. So, check your thoughts. Are you comparing yourself? Are you feeling superior to someone else? Because if you are, cast that down. That is working against you and it is definitely working against them, and it is working against the call I have on your life.
