Vision: Revival

Word for October 11th, 2021

When we worshipped together in Church Sunday morning, I saw this Vision unfold:

It started with me seeing myself standing in a river, the river of life, walking downstream. I saw fish swimming upstream towards me, and at the same time, I saw dark stones being thrown at me from both sides of the river banks. The stones did not hit me, but hit an unseen shield around me and fell. As I focused on the fish swimming towards me, I thought of the scripture where Jesus calls us to be fishers of men. As I was wondering how I was going to fish, I saw Jesus elevated over me and slightly in front of me. I looked at the fish again and opened my arms in love. The fish, one by one, jumped into my arms and I lifted them up to Jesus. As I stepped forward into deeper water where the river was wider, I then had a net in my hands and many fish swam into the net and I had the strength to lift them up to Jesus' arms. Soon the net was big and I sensed other Christians were fishing together with me and the net was vast. I thought of the great revival that has been prophesied and I was deeply moved. The Holy Spirit moved deeply in me as I responded to the truth that the great move of God is happening.

As I reflected on this vision, several aspects stood out for me:

I was in the river traveling downstream to deeper water and I didn't get out.

I was shielded from the assault coming from both sides of the river bank.

Jesus was over me.

When I opened my arms in love, the fish came and jumped into my arms. I reflected on the scriptures. They will know we are Christians by our love.

I received them and passed them to Jesus. I was reminded that Jesus said, And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people unto Me. John 12:32

As I went deeper, more fish came and I then had a net to gather them and lift them up to Jesus. Others gathered and we fished together with a vast net.

We are all called to walk in the river of life and God will draw people to us as we love in Christ's Love. All we do is love, receive and lift people to Jesus. In the vision it was easy, yet we seem to think it is hard. We need to stay in the river of life, walking downstream into deeper water and loving with open arms. God brings people to us, they jump into our loving arms and we offer them to Jesus the Saviour. Hallelujah!
