Self-Control

Self-control, as you know, is one of the fruit of the Spirit.  As you are transformed into the likeness of Christ, that fruit grows.  Self-control is one of them.  So how do you grow self-control?  It is when you are feeling a loss of control, you stop.  You choose to stop your fleshly self.  Step back.  Call on the name of Jesus and ask, “What is really going on here?”  What do you need to do to gain back self-control?  Well if you don’t know what was causing you to lose control then you need wisdom to know that.  You need knowledge to know that.  Ask The Spirit to give you that knowledge, that wisdom to know.  For then you can choose to work on it with Jesus.
