Forgiveness is Not the Icing on the Cake

Forgiveness is not something to be taken lightly. Oh, it is so far from something to be taken lightly. It is easy to say the words, "I forgive you," but do you really forgive? Forgiveness is not just like icing on a cake, what you see on the top of the cake. Forgiveness is what is deep within you. So when someone cuts through the cake and gets to the centre, what do they find? You need to search within the centre of your being to see, have you really forgiven? Have you really forgiven someone...forgiven yourself? For there lies the Truth. Another Truth that is so important is that unless you forgive, I cannot forgive you. So search your heart. Don't just say the words that can so easily fall off your tongue. They need to come from your heart. Search your heart.
