Don’t Be Superstitious
Word for November 2nd, 2020
Superstition is in My Church. You wouldn’t think so and I’m not talking about the obvious ones. The obvious ones…Ok yes, you will think about what I have just said and say, “Oh yeah, I can see that in some ways.” I am talking about the more subtle ways. The ways that you are feeling or thinking that, ‘if I read God’s Word or if I pray this much or if I do this or if I do that, then God will do something for me and I will be safe and this will work out for me today and I will have a good day.’ Do you see how that could be also superstition, because instead of trusting Me you are trusting even in the things I have asked you to do? So It’s not about reading My Word or not reading My Word. It is about - what is behind that for you? Have you set that up in yourself to be something that, instead of depending on Me and trusting Me and knowing that I will show favour to you and I have already blessed you and everyday I bless you, that there is something that you are going to do and if you don’t do it then your reaction is fear, not the Holy Fear but fear - “Oh my day won’t go well now.” So most of you know not to carry around a rabbits foot for quote ‘good luck,’ but search your heart and see if there is any way that you are using the things of Mine in a superstitious way. I love you. I want the best for you. Yes, I want you reading My Word. Yes, you need to pray, but don’t do it because you are superstitious that if you don’t that I won’t love you and I won’t protect you. Bad things happen in the world. You can’t control those. I am in control. Trust Me! Read My Word because you want to commune with Me, you want to know Me more, you want to know how I have called you to walk. I love you!
