One Foot on the Rock and One Foot on the Slippery Slope
Word for September 8th, 2021
One foot on the rock and the other foot on the slippery slope, that is not the way to go. For if you remain in that place, with one foot on the rock and the other on the slippery slope, you will tire out quickly and soon find yourself slipping and slipping and slipping and you'll be surprised, for you thought you could play both sides of that. You thought you could be on the rock and still put your foot on the slippery slope. You cannot play with the things of the world. It is a trap. Don't allow yourself to be in that trap. Take your foot out of there. Place both feet on the solid rock, for there you can stand. So don't fool yourself. Don't let others fool you by what they say to you, by what they encourage you to do in the world. For they too do not want to put both feet solid on the rock. Ask yourself, if you realize you're doing that, ask yourself why? Why are you tolerating that in your life? Are you not fully persuaded that that is wrong, that that is death? 'Cause until you are, you will continue to keep your foot there. I call you to plant your feet on the solid rock, for there is All Life.
