Rise Above the Waves

Word for January 8th, 2023

You believe you are intended to ride and surf every wave that comes into your life.  So you attempt to do that and you think, 'Oh, I made it through that one,' and then another one comes and then another and another and another.  The winds keep changing and there are many waves.  The thing is I never asked you to ride those waves, to surf those waves.  I call you to raise above them, to rise up, to sit with Christ in heavenly places, in that raised up place in you.  You are not trying to ride the waves, surf the waves.  You are above them.  Your eyes are kept focused on Me and listening to the still small voice, to be led by the Spirit, to be able to be still no matter what is raging below you.  You can walk in the world and still be in that place, risen above it all.  Because it's from that place, and only that place, that you can have a positive, life-giving impact wherever you go.  So yes, many waves, but you are not called to try to surf them.  You are called to be above them in that place of Peace and Power and Love.
