Selfishness is NOT Stepping Away to Spend Time With Me

Selfishness is not when you step away to spend time in My Presence. To step away, you must lay down your life to draw near to Me and receive true life. At times you become so busy doing, even considering that your doing is for Me when it isn't. It is you doing 'works' and because you perceive them as 'good' then you think I have asked you to do them. But when you lay down your life, your ideas, your time and draw near to Me, step aside with Me, then you will see clearly. I help you sort out what it is I've asked you to do, and what it is in your own selfishness that you are doing. So selfishness is not stepping away to spend time with Me. Selfishness is when you are doing 'things,' despite that it might look 'good,' when I've not asked you to do it. Remember you must always lay down your life to walk with Me, to listen to the Holy Spirit, to clear your mind. You lay down your mind, you take your thoughts captive, you say no to the flesh, you say no to the things of the world and you draw near to Me. So don't get caught in the lie that, "I have so much to do and it is all 'good' that I can't possibly take time to Be with My Lord." That is a lie and you know where all lies come from. I call you to draw near to Me. Draw near to Me. Take the time. That is not being selfish.
